♥ Best vegan Breakfast in London! aka. The Gallery Cafe ♥

I finally went back to London!
I have been living my life as a vegan for almost a year and since my boyfriend and I love England, we love going there and eating vegan in London is just so easy and the food is so nice.

So today I want to tell you about the best cafe in London to get an awesome vegan breakfast:

The Gallery Cafe in Bethnal Green, London

Entrance of the cafe and a fresh juice :)

This place is not just small and beautiful with seats outside in the front and a pretty garden in the back, but it is also a community project by the St. Margaret's House, so all profit they make goes back to charity! :)
For me as an Art student, it is also very cool, that "The Gallery Cafe lives up to its name by holding monthly art exhibitions as part of the Time Out First Thursdays initiative." (quote from their website).
If you want to find out more about the St. Margaret's House and the cafe, just check out their website. Oh, and if you visit the cafe, be sure to check out the St. Margaret's House's thrift store (If you are a thrift store addict like me :D). It is called "Ayoka" and it is on the right side of the St. Margarets House. (The cafe is on the left)
light building in the middle: St. Margarets House; Green parasols: The Gallery Cafe; red marquise on the right: Ayoka

OJ, coffee, hot chocolate, Full English (amazing bread!)
So now, let's get to my personal opinion about the cafe:
The employees there were very nice every time I went there. The food is super good and filling. The juices there are freshly squeezed right in front of you and the coffee and hot chocolate are amazing as well. :D We love the food there so much that we eat there nearly every morning when visiting London. We always get a fresh juice and e.g. The Full English Breakfast or the Porridge. The atmosphere there is quite nice. The big windows in the back let in a lot of natural light. The walls in the restroom are covered in small messages and "graffiti" (using this term loosely). The owner of the cafe doesn't seem to like that, they even put a note on the door which says that you should please stop drawing on the walls and instead draw on the piece of paper they printed that note on. I actually like those small graffiti. I think I didn't see a single hateful or vulgar one, only nice quotes or messages. So overall, I just love going there and eating nice food there. :)
Now let's talk money: You could definitely find a cheaper place to buy your breakfast, but at least give the Gallery Cafe a try. I love it and as I mentioned before: The money they earn goes to charity. I don't remember the exact prices, but I think the breakfast foods were between (porridge) and 9£ (Full English), but don't quote me on that, I don't remember the exact prices.

BUT there is ONE COMPLAINT I have: They seem to offer dairy options at the cafe. I know that there are maybe vegetarians or even omnivores that eat there and for example don't want a plant-based milk in their coffee, but when ordering a hot chocolate (I don't drink coffee) I am always scared that I forget to mention that I want
Almond Milk with it, because I am afraid of getting a drink with dairy milk. We never went there in the afternoon so I don't know if the normal meals there include any dairy or egg, but the website says that the meals are all available in a vegan version (so I guess some of them are not vegan).

So that's enough talking I guess, there you have a few foodporn photos I took there :)

Carrot-Apple-Ginger juice, orange juice and cappuccino

Fresh juice and porridge with cherry compote and almond flakes

Avocado toast (the bread is sooooooo good!!)

Vegan pancakes with hemp-cream and cherries (amazing!)

That's it for today. If you have any vegan restaurant or even breakfast recommendations in London, please tell me about them in the comments, I want to try them out!
And tell me how your trip to the cafe was and how you like it :)

Have a lovely day!
Lily
